Different sorts of Krazie

At 6 months, my daughter has reaaaalllly looooong hair. Like you can already make a bun out of it. But Ia hates it and would try to take it off and if she can’t, she’ll scream and thrash. Yes! She is that uhhhh persistent? I call those episodes “minaldita”. LOL

Here’s her bunlette as my friend would call it and yes if you look a little closer there’s a lot of rashes on her neck and ears. I really hate it because she would scratch it incessantly and I feel bad for her. Who would want to see her child suffer from rashes? I don’t, so a few days after this photo was taken I decided I had enough and I went ahead and cut her hair (and end her suffering).

Voila! Here’s her first haircut pic.

It’s now short and clean and rash free. She still scratches her ears though because her hair touches it. I don’t want to cut that part because I’m afraid she’ll look like a boy.

So were there any protest about me cutting Ia’s hair? Yes! The reason is mostly ‘you can’t cut a baby’s hair if s/he is not yet a year old, the child would become sickly’. I personally don’t believe on those kind of crap because I just don’t see the logic in it. I even ask yaya (who knows a lot of old wives tales) about it and she can’t explain it. So I thought its just an old belief and shove it aside.

Anyway I didn’t regret cutting her hair and I like to think that she also likes her new hair.

After a month, her hair is still long and I want to shave it. Obviously there will be a lot who would protest, so maybe I’ll just cut her bangs soon. :]
